Job Description:
Performs a wide variety of moderately complex facility equipment and related maintenance and repairs. Responsibilities include performing scheduled preventative maintenance maintaining supplies parts and documentation/records and inspecting and performing repairs to maintain operations and safety.
Must be able to flex to alternative work hours based on business needs training needs vacation coverage etc. Overtime is offered and approved as needed. Must be willing to support limited overtime requests. Limited domestic travel (1-5 days per year) may be required.
Responsibilities:
- Recognize and resolve equipment problems promptly to minimize the effect on production schedules.
- Troubleshooting and repair of pneumatic electrical hydraulic and mechanical systems of plant processes & equip.
- Maintains the Preventative Maintenance program and perform equipment preventive maintenance tasks (PMs).
- Complete housekeeping tasks by end of shift (6S).
- Provide direction & training to others in maintenance & operation of equipment.
- Meet established safety quality & productivity standards by adhering to procedures.
Qualifications:
- Two-year Associates degree/trade school in an electrical or mechanical education OR 5 years prior work experience in an electrical or mechanical field OR Equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong knowledge of the facility and manufacturing machine operations - specifically pneumatic hydraulic mechanical and electrical understanding.
- Ability to convert concepts into reality through basic plan/design source/fabrication and assembly/installation.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced multi-site operation. Be available on-call 24/7 as scheduled or needed.
- Must be computer literate. Experiences with PLC CMMS Design SCADA/HMI a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; Valid drivers license; Ability to operate lift trucks; cranes; hoists; Big Joes etc.
- Must be a team player; strong communications skills take initiative follow through with tasks/projects; strong problem solving with attention to detail; have a genuine interest in learning the processes and driving continuous improvement.
