About you:

  • Are you just as comfortable diving into data analysis (qual and quant) to craft strategic plans as you are in shaping and guiding creative outcomes

  • Do you have a passion for understanding the customer and using design thinking to craft new experiences that drive revenue boost viewership and elevate the brand

  • Do you bring hands-on experience in strategy leading strategic planning ROI analysis optimizing merchandising processes and a strong grasp of retail brand strategies value propositions and brand architectures

  • Can you read the businesss signals diagnose its unique needs and deliver tailored solutions that go beyond a one-size-fits-all approach

About the role:

This role is all about building the future. As Sr. Commercialization Strategist youll be responsible for defining and leading a function that doesnt currently exist in the marketcreating commercialization and monetization strategies for a directly shoppable streaming ecosystem. Youll build the connective tissue between content and commerce ensuring every product featured within our content is placed with intention positioned for performance and primed to drive sales margin and viewer retention. The Sr Commercialization Strategist is responsible for driving total sales and viewer growth by developing content specific strategies curating and optimizing merchandise within content (show builds and VOD assets) while collaborating with cross-functional teams such as Producers Buyers Programming and Marketing.

Youll be the architect of a new process one that sits at the intersection of Merchandising and Content. With full executive sponsorship and support from best-in-class teams across Product Insights Programming Marketing and Buyingyoull help us transform not just our platform but the industry at large.

What Youll Do

  • Lead the commercialization of content initiativesby executing an end-to-end visionfrom data analysis and content ROI assessment to strategic planning merchandise briefs and process optimization.
  • Develop a merchandise-driven content strategythat grows audience engagement and increases revenue thoughtfully balancing entertainment value with sales performance. This includes planning around inventory availability productivity trends external market opportunities and promotional activities.
  • Drive content optimizationthrough hands-on leadership in content ideation product selection procurement and visual merchandising strategies.
  • Oversee and manage timelines and releasesfor all item-specific content ensuring alignment with broader strategic goals and operational efficiency.
  • Establish content and product planning strategiesto ensure every product is seamlessly integrated into the content experiencemaximizing engagement relevance and ROI.
  • Develop and test hypotheses for product placement and integration creating a scalable repeatable playbook for effective content-product alignment.
  • Assess strategy performanceby analyzing metrics and KPIs; make agile adjustments to maximize results and drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Data & Analytics teamto build tools and dashboards that give real-time insights to the commercial team enabling smarter decisions and strategy refinement.
  • Standardize documentation and workflowsby creating and maintaining trackers (manual or automated) that ensure consistent accessible and actionable data across all stakeholders.
  • Facilitate cross-functional workshops and provide actionable insightsto help teams optimize content assignments and improve execution.
  • Lead prioritization and execution of key reviewsto drive alignment and successful outcomes across Merchandising Content Programming and Marketing.
  • Advance and refine the content ROI model using seasonal data to sharpen strategy and improve overall performance.
  • Identify and activate promotional opportunitiesthat uphold brand integrity and serve target customers effectively.
  • Develop and execute coupon strategies including performance evaluation and optimization ensuring alignment with brand goals and customer engagement metrics.
  • Must be open to working 30 hours per week.
