Position Description:

We are looking for a Senior Crew Chief to join our ICE team to improve infrastructure in our Flint office. Candidates must have a high school diploma but an associates degree or higher is preferred. A minimum of five years related experience of land and/or construction survey is required but eight or more years is preferred. A valid drivers license and experience with Survey equipment is also required. Candidates should be self-motivated and able to work well with others.

Typical responsibilities include:

    • Conduct various types of surveying including boundary topographic ALTA/NSPS subdivisions construction stakeouts etc.
    • Interpret maps plats construction drawings and specifications
    • Oversee the daily operation of a survey crew
    • Document work performed and sketches
    • Adhere to company standards for processing and storing data
    • Perform various survey calculations
    • Organize and maintain survey documentation
    • Operate and maintain survey equipment
    • Communicate project status to Project Managers and clients
    • Research project information at the Registrar of Deeds
    • Prepare forms and other paperwork in a timely manner
    • Attend seminars and/or training classes
    • Perform other duties as assigned
    • Maintain excellent client relations
    • Maintain a safe working environment

Education:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • Associates degree or higher is preferred

Skills/Experience:

    • 5 or more years of land and/or construction survey experience is required
    • 8 or more years of related experience is preferred
    • Valid Drivers license is required
    • Survey equipment (Trimble) experience is preferred
