This role will sit within our AWS Developer Experience organization. Our goal is to win the hearts and minds of developers around the world by meeting them where they are and providing the right technical education tools and resources to enable developer success.
As a Developer Audience Marketing Event Manager youll own the strategy for how we engage with developers at large AWS conferences. Youll align internal stakeholders to a common vision for supporting best-in-class developer event experiences and youll identify ways to build presence at these events in a way which earns trust with technical communities. You will be responsible for building lasting relationships with internal stakeholders and leverage those partnerships to deliver engagements across various events.
Key job responsibilities
Define a global strategy and execution plan for developer experiences at AWS events including AWS re:Invent
Deliver a vision for how these developer engagements at events align to business goals while also driving mutual value and earning long-term trust in developer communities.
Identify key technology trends and scope how these trends should influence thinking around developer event engagement strategy.
Establish internal partnerships and mechanisms so stakeholders across multiple organizations can align to a common developer event activation strategy.
Create mechanisms maintain playbooks and act as a consultant to these internal teams who are engaging with developers at events.
Build and manage processes for analyzing and quantifying the impact (both short and long term) of developer activations/engagements at events.

- 5 years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation macros charts and pivot tables)
- Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data
- Experience building executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion
- Experience driving direction and alignment with large cross-functional teams and agency partners
- Experience designing and executing joint marketing plans with strategic alliance partners with global footprint

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $72600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $155200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
