Overview of the Position Responsibilities: The Manager of Construction & Engineering leads engineering and construction efforts to ensure projects are planned and executed with safety by the deadlines within budget and with the quality expected by Bluepeak. If this sounds exciting please read on.

What You Will Do:

• Leads a team responsible for managing the strand mapping design new build construction line extensions joint trench cable relocation pole maintenance permitting and as-built mapping. Evaluates specifications to plan procedures starting and completion times and staffing requirements for each phase of construction.
• Director subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work procedures interpreting specifications andcoordinating various phases of construction to prevent delays.

• Owns passings goal and overall marketsuccess based on completion of construction within budget and forecast.
• Leads communication efforts with localstateand federal municipality and agencies.
• Inspects work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and the adherence to construction schedules including but not limited to QCredlining auditing splice records and delivering accurate documentation tooperations.
• Ensures timelyfollow-up and resolution of customer damage complaints.
• Prepares/Reviewsreports on progress materials used and costs and adjusts work schedules accordingly.
• Conducts construction activitieswithin federal state and local environmental rules and regulations.
• Leads a team in accordance with the Bluepeaks policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include but are not limited to interviewing hiring and training employees; planning assigning and directing work; appraising performance;rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolvingproblems.
• Occasional overnight travel is .
• All other relateddutiesas assigned.

What You Will Need:

• Highschool diploma or GED .
• Bachelors degreein related field and/orequivalent experience .
• 5 years experience in thetelecommunication/cable industry strongly preferred.
• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
• Mastered the ability to review and interpret maps plan sets/drawings and diagramsfor fiber construction. Knowledge ofMake-Ready Construction.
• Effective time management with the ability to work independently manage multiple tasks set priorities and meetdeadlines.
• Strong written verbal andpresentation skills including the ability to articulate ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively.Adept at identifyingpotential project roadblocks and developing mitigation strategies.
• Ability to work with different internal and external functional groups and levels ofemployees to achieve results effectively and professionally.
• Ability to work independently underminimal supervision.
• Ability to maintain professionalism in changing and/orchallenging situations.
• MS Office Suite: Outlook PowerPoint Word Excel Teams Access and OneNote.
• Test analysis powermeters OTDR platforms GIS systems and fiber asset management systems.
• Familiar with AutoCADand other related design/GIS software.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Regularly required to talk and hear.
• Frequently required to bend twist pushpull crawl reach stand climb and walk in construction areas.
• Required to use hands handle objectsand paperwork.
• Required to use close vision and beable to focus.
• Required to refrain from personal useof technology during working hours.
• Must be able to work in inclementweather conditions.
• Required to work in loud constructionenvironments.
• Must be able to passMVR and have a valid drivers license.
