The Senior Manager of Financial Reporting is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the preparation accuracy and timeliness of internal and external financial reports. This individual will lead a team of accountants ensure compliance with US GAAP and regulatory standards and drive continuous improvement in reporting processes and systems. The role requires a strategic thinker who can balance operational execution with forward-looking financial insight.
How You Will Contribute
Oversee the revenue and investment income recognition process ensuring timely and accurate journal entries reconciliations and summary reports for key stakeholders.
Closely partner with the fundraising team on all donor-related queries and read-outs.
Provide technical accounting guidance for transactions and contracts.
Manage and mentor a team of financial reporting professionals fostering a culture of accountability development and performance.
Oversee the intranetwork (transfer pricing) invoicing process and ensure proper controls review and timely payment between entities.
Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g. FP&A Treasury Tax Legal) to support business initiatives and ensure alignment of financial reporting.
Monitor and implement new accounting standards and regulatory changes.
Lead special projects including system implementations process automation and reporting enhancements.
Support the preparation and review of monthly quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
Support strategic initiatives by delivering ad hoc financial analysis and insights to senior leadership.
What You Will Bring
8 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial reporting including public accounting and corporate reporting roles.
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and internal control frameworks.
Extensive experience in analyzing and documenting conclusions for accounting transactions including consolidation eliminations and multi-entity reporting.
Proven leadership experience managing teams and complex projects.
Proficiency in financial systems (e.g. Sage Intacct Concur Blackline Floqast and advanced Excel skills.)
Excellent analytical organizational and communication skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment with shifting priorities. Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and implement best practices.
Strategic mindset with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
