Lutheran Social Services of WI and Upper MI is currently seeking a Certified Peer Specialist to join our team!
This role is a source for advocacy referral crisis intervention and problem solving for individuals with mental health issues and/or substance use disorder. Our peer specialists will use their training and experience to support clients on their own recovery. This position will support our Forensic Team helping individuals in the Opening Avenues to Re-Entry Success (OARS) and Conditional Release programs.Using a team based approach we work collaboratively with community organizations to provide participants the stability and skills necessary to live successfully in the community. Our individualized services can help clients meet their needs and find supports in healthcare housing education employment transportation and more.
This is a part-time role approximately 10 - 15 hours per week.

Ability to communicate both in verbal and written format effectively and efficiently in job.
COMPUTER SKILLS/TECHNOLOGY:
Working knowledge of computers to allow employee to access computer systems and applications to complete timecards read and respond to email and complete required on-line training. Applicants must have or have the ability to learn basic computer skills such as email and internet search engines.
