Summary of the role:

We are looking for Platform Engineer who will be doing the maintenance and production support of applications hosted on Cloud. He should be Investigating troubleshooting and solving technical issues encountered on the platforms. Supporting releasing activities for different cloud applications. Coordinating with different teams. Performing POC in new/upcoming technologies


About the ideal candidate:

Experience in AWS Linux Kubernetes Terraform Helm Bash/python scripting
Good understanding of certificates Jboss Apache Elastisearch Fluentd Grafana Basic understanding of networking Servicenow
Has worked on Vulnerability remediation.
Able to do multitasking and work in flexible hours. Okay to do oncall support in follow the sun model
Experience in Airport/ travel domain would be great





Goals and deliverables


Common accountabilities:

- Has the required technical/functional knowledge and experience in own discipline. Knowledge of the Amadeus business and how it is related to own area.

- Works using existing procedures or guidelines and provides inputs to support/influence area decisions. Makes recommendations on new solutions and proposes improvements by analyzing different sources of information.

- Works with a moderate level of guidance and direction from manager.

Specific accountabilities:

Manage infrastructure components such as various platform components containers and cloud operations. The Platform Engineering role builds and maintains the platforms which form the base for the run of software solutions and services. The Platform Engineers is highly involved in the shift from legacy and network-based environments to cloud based solutions and combines former Network Engineer System Administration and Storage Administration roles. Platform engineering teams aim to build tooling and infrastructure that increases engineering productivity.

About the business area/department:

We are part of Airport IT. We are supporting multiple airports across the world. We have different products which are used at airports. Eg like Flight information systems Airport Operations systems biometrics etc. Airports IT covers multiple applications to manage flights fixed and mobile resources public/private/mobile displays of information and multiple other software solutions to optimize their critical activity. You will discover the hidden face of an airport the huge complexity to handle ground operations when thousands of persons are synchronized through complex processes the challenges for the IT teams and the key improvements we design and deliver to them.

Development and Platform Enablement team is in charge of:

Implementing and maintaining applications hosted on AWS Azure cloud
System administration activities on Windows and Linux machines
Automation of operational and releasing activities using scripting
Production support for cloud hosted applications
