At Park Primary School we recognise that our Teaching Assistants are vital to the success and wellbeing of our pupils; and we invest accordingly. Over the past year weve made significant strides to support and develop our TAs including dedicated weekly staff meetings targeted training opportunities and access to recognised qualifications.
We have also introduced specialist TA teams with staff developing expertise in key curriculum areas so that they can make a meaningful contribution to our whole-school priorities. We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and committed team.
This role offers the opportunity to work across Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 supporting pupils in a range of ways:
Leading and delivering targeted interventions to raise attainment particularly in English and Maths
Supporting pupils with a variety of emotional social and behavioural needs
Providing whole class cover during teacher release or short-term absence
Working collaboratively with teaching staff to adapt and deliver engaging learning experiences
We are looking for someone who:
Holds a Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent)
Has strong literacy numeracy and ICT skills
Brings experience of working with primary-aged children preferably within KS1 or KS2
Understands how to support children academically and emotionally to thrive
Is positive proactive and a strong team player
Has a clear understanding of safeguarding and professional conduct

The working hours during term time are typically 8:35-15:40 Monday to Friday with a 16:30 finish once a week for after school club/activities and a further 17:00 finish for staff meeting/development. A personalised timetable will be issued annually. You will also work the five inset days across the year for targeted CPD activities.
