What Were Looking For:

Are you a compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist ready to empower students and schools Heres what youll need to join our team:
  • Education: Masters degree or higher from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program.
  • Licensure: Active license held with the Louisiana Board of Examiners in Speech Language Pathology.
  • Certification: ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
  • Language Proficiency: Bilingual skills preferred but not required.

Your Role:

As a Speech-Language Pathologist youll play a vital role in helping students overcome communication challenges and thrive in their educational settings. Heres how youll contribute:
  • Evaluate Needs: Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations to identify students needs for specialized therapy services.
  • Communicate Findings: Share evaluation results with parents and district personnel ensuring clear and compassionate communication.
  • Develop Interventions: Collaborate with the IEP committee to create targeted evidence-based therapeutic interventions that enhance student performance participation and access to education.
  • Provide Therapy: Deliver therapy services directly or supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants in implementing IEP goals.
  • Track Progress: Collect data and maintain accurate detailed records of student progress.
  • Support Teams: Participate in ARD meetings parent conferences and other relevant discussions to advocate for and support students special education programs.
  • Promoting Equity: Support inclusive education by developing strategies to enhance participation and communication for students with diverse needs and backgrounds.
