Empowering a Sustainable Future: Lead the Charge in Power Resource Strategy
A 2% base salary increase is scheduled to become effective with the first full pay period that begins after July 1 2025.

THE POSITION
The position presents a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in the electric utility industry and work with a talented team of utility professionals! The City is seeking a highly skilled analytical and innovative Management Analyst (Power Resources) to support strategic power supply planning and compliance for a publicly owned utility within the CAISO balancing authority. Reporting to the Power Supply Manager this role is pivotal in forecasting electric load evaluating diverse energy resource options preparing costs analysis and supporting financial and regulatory planning aligned with operational goals and state mandates. Responsibilities include supporting the regular updates to the integrated resource plan (IRP) conducting cost-benefit analyses supporting procurement and rate impact evaluations and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements from agencies such as CAISO CEC NERC CPUC and CARB. This position will prepare and submit regulatory reports to utility regulatory bodies at the state and federal level. The incumbent will collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments and engage externally with peer utilities and regulatory bodies while also assisting in infrastructure alignment and capital investment planning.

IDEAL CANDIDATEMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
