Who you are:
ConXtech is seeking an entry-level Mechanical Engineer to support global scaling of oursystems. This position requires a well-rounded person interested in working on myriadtechnology projects. You are responsible for successful engineering and deployment of steelconstruction products systems and manufacturing equipment such as weld positioningfixtures machining fixtures and material handling devices through different phases of theirlifecycle. You have experience designing metal parts and large mechanical assemblies as wellas prototyping validating and releasing them to manufacturing.
You have:
- A bachelors degree in manufacturing engineering / mechanical engineering from anABET accredited institution; and/or applicable combination of education and work experience.
- Relevant work experience or internship in designing mechanical products and systemsused at scale.
- Familiarity in implementing new solutions such as processes procedures and equipmentto teams both internal and external.
- Fundamental understanding of Engineering Statistics.
- Experience in 3D CAD modeling and PDM software.
- Experience creating manufacturable drawings with full documentation for closetolerance components.
- Preferred proficiency with ASME Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing(GD&T) guidelines and best practices.
- Some hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment working with mechanical assemblies hand tools and precision measuring instruments or equivalent experience.
- Ability to travel internationally and work with international customers & vendors.
- Ability to quickly understand use and suggest improvements to existing/newmanufacturing and fabrication equipment.
- Ability to identify process gaps and suggest corresponding solutions to improve teamsefficiency and effectiveness.
- Capability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment.
- Proficiency to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and written.
- Competence to learn quickly and take high degree of ownership of projects.
- Capacity to adapt quickly to changing projects/interested in working on a variety ofproject types.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- You are a self-starter who thrives in an innovative dynamic and exciting environment.
- Experience using PowerBI to create dashboards/report summaries.
- Experience as engineering lead on projects or teams.
- Familiarity with cast and forged steel components.
- Familiarity with close tolerance machined components/assemblies.
- Experience working with Coordinate Measurement Machine (CMM) equipment softwareand assimilating data outputs.
- Knowledgeable in welding standards and processes.
- Familiarity with work prioritization that uses the Agile framework (Scrum).
- Language proficiency in Spanish and/or Mandarin a plus.
As a Mechanical Engineer for ConXtech youll be doing the following:
- Core focus areas:
- Key Performance Indicator (KPI) tool development & implementation for companyobjectives.
- Process design & improvements for manufacturing & quality assurance.
- Support deployment & sustaining of satellite facilities.
- Factory acceptance testing development for new and existing products.
- Technical support for procuring designs.
- Evolve current generation of quality-control tools for data collection & analysis onfabricated steel products.
- Be part of the technology team to produce validate and execute technological initiativesin a variety of ConXtech processes including core products manufacturing fabricationand erection of ConXtech modular structures.
- Design verify and support key ConXtech fabrication and manufacturing equipmentprocesses and components.
- Remotely diagnose manufacturing production issues and collaborate with relevant teams(including overseas suppliers) to provide scalable solutions.
- Manage and plan product lifecycle testing.
- Data management of all ConXtech key products including proprietary fabricationequipment inspection data calibration data and end-product QC data etc.
- Secure approvals of key stakeholders and formally release designs for manufacturingusing Product Lifecycle software for document control.
- Work with stakeholders to capture user feedback and other data to improve existing andnew designs / processes.
- Further develop ConXtechs quality control system for all proprietary equipment.
- Perform any additional reasonable tasks consistent with your professional abilities thatmay be requested by the company.
Youll be working remotely from home with the occasional onsite meeting as needed at asatellite office or our company headquarters in Pleasanton.
