Job Description

Customs Specialist (for EMEA)
Responsibilities:
- Acts as business liaison on Customs matters.
- Supports the Senior Manager of Customs on special projects.
- Acts as liaison point with Customs Authorities in EMEA
- Supports externalCustoms audits
- Deliver training for colleagues who are not customs specialists
- Accurately measures customs-relevant data in SAP GTS other Customs software solutions and connected systems (e.g. SAP S/4 HANA).
- Performs soft audits on outsourced customs activities (broker management)
- Optimizes customs activities by working with other departments
- Oversees compliance with export control
- Supports internal stakeholders on customs-related questions.
Requirements:
- Over 5 years of experience in EMEA customs with a strong focus on the EU.
- Proven expertise in trade compliance including both internal and external auditing.
- Skilled in origin determination.
- Familiarity with SAP GTS (a plus).
- Comprehensive knowledge of HS classification Free Trade Agreement qualification customs relief operations and customs valuation.
- Experienced in stakeholder management.
- Proactive and self-motivated attitude.
- Professional proficiency in English.
- French language skills (a plus).
