Job Description

Recruitment Specialist

Remote (with regular travel to prison sites in London and surrounding areas)
Fixed-Term Contract 6 to 9 Months

What youll be doing

Youll be responsible for the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle from understanding the needs of hiring managers to onboarding new hires. Your focus will be on proactively identifying engaging and converting top talent while ensuring a positive and inclusive candidate experience at every stage.

  • Partnering with hiring managers to plan and deliver effective recruitment campaigns
  • Proactively sourcing and attracting candidates via job boards social media and direct outreach
  • Creating compelling job advertisements and employer brand content
  • Screening and assessing candidates and presenting high-quality shortlists
  • Coordinating interviews feedback offers and onboarding processes
  • Maintaining accurate records in our ATS and trackers
  • Representing PeoplePlus at recruitment fairs events and networking opportunities
  • Promoting diversity inclusion and safeguarding in all aspects of recruitment
  • Providing regular insights and reporting to improve recruitment practice

This role requires regular travel to prisons and education sites so youll need to be comfortable working in these environments and confident managing recruitment on the ground as well as remotely.

What youll need

Were looking for someone who brings more than just recruitment experience. Youll be a natural relationship builder an excellent communicator and someone who takes pride in finding the right person for the right role.

  • Proven experience managing full-cycle recruitment
  • Strong sourcing and headhunting skills
  • Creative flair for writing adverts and engaging content
  • Comfortable working across multiple priorities and campaigns
  • Confident using ATS and recruitment technology
  • Passion for candidate experience and employer brand
  • Ability to analyse data and continuously improve recruitment outcomes
  • A full driving licence or ability to travel independently to prison sites
