At Park Primary we know that high-quality Teaching Assistants make a powerful difference to childrens learning and wellbeing - and we invest in them accordingly. Over the past year weve developed a robust programme of weekly staff meetings targeted training and recognised qualifications with specialist TA teams contributing to key school priorities.

We are looking to appoint a Level 2 Teaching Assistant with a particular interest or expertise in supporting children with:

Speech and Language needs or

Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs or

Behavioural challenges or

Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)

This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about inclusion and is keen to make a real impact on pupils development in a supportive forward-thinking school.

The working hours during term time are typically 8:35-15:40 Monday to Friday with a 16:30 finish once a week for after school club/activities and a further 17:00 finish for staff meeting/development. A personalised timetable will be issued annually. You will also work the five inset days across the year for targeted CPD activities.

The successful candidate will:

Hold a Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent)

Have GCSE Grade 4/C or above in English and Maths

Have experience of working with children in a school setting

Be confident supporting children with additional needs both in class and through small group or 1:1 interventions

Understand how to build positive relationships with children who require emotional or behavioural support

Be flexible reflective and proactive with a commitment to inclusion and teamwork

Be able to support early literacy and numeracy including phonics and reading development

We are particularly keen to hear from applicants who have:

Experience delivering interventions related to speech and language or emotional regulation

An understanding of trauma-informed practice positive behaviour management or supporting pupils with MLD

A commitment to working collaboratively with families teachers and external agencies
