About the job:
This full-time position based in Pasadena TX is responsible for the safe efficient and timely delivery of products to customers. The role is essential to ensuring customer satisfaction and upholding the companys commitment to safety and reliability in every delivery.
In your future role as a Truck Driver you will:
- Deliver Nouryon product to customer sites in a safe and timely manner.
- Assure paper work is accurate and in order.
- Maintain compliance with all DOT regulations.
- Maintain road equipment in good working order.
- Report any items needing repair/attention promptly and follow up to make sure repairs are done in a timely manner.
- Report any information from customers that might be helpful in the servicing of that customer.
- Report on any business intelligence that is overheard in the course of delivering to our customers.
- Understand and help implement the Pasadena Functional Chemicals Site Operating Policy and Objectives which includes MTQ and ISO/RC 14001.
- Be aware of potential health safety security and environmental impacts in area of responsibility and the actions required should an issue occur.
- Understand and implement any parts of the Pasadena Environmental Compliance Plan and Waste Management Plan that apply to your area of responsibility.
- Participate in the sites on-going Pollution Prevention Process.
We believe you bring:
- High School Diploma preferred; minimum of a GED required
- At least 5 years of truck driving experience including trailers and tank cars
- Valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL)
- HAZMAT and Tanker Endorsements required
- Proven experience operating refrigerated trailers
- Must have experience with dock loading
- Clean driving record required
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in reading writing and communicating effectively in English
- Must be able to safely wear required PPE including flame-resistant clothing (FRC) steel-toed boots safety glasses and a hard hat
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and maneuver a 2000-lb pallet jack within a trailer
- TWIC card required or willingness to obtain one
- Familiarity with navigating and working safely within a plant or industrial environment
Good to know:
- This is a permanent position on a full-time basis reporting to the Transportation and Warehouse Supervisor in Pasadena TX.
- This position requires overnight travel at times
