Job Description
Summary:
An established Commercial HVAC Service Company is looking to hire a Senior Estimator out of their South Florida office. The company provides HVAC Services throughout the Southeastern US and the position is primarily responsible for overseeing and directing the cost estimation process for HVAC construction projects.
Responsibilities:
* Lead train and oversee the estimating department.
* Create thorough and precise cost projections for construction projects accounting for labor materials equipment and overhead expenses.
* Examine and interpret project blueprints specifications and scope documents to assess cost impact and uncover potential risks.
* Direct the development of bid proposals ensuring all project elements are addressed and proposals remain competitive.
* Collaborate with subcontractors vendors and key partners to gather accurate cost data and relevant details for bid inclusion.
* Partner with project managers designers engineers and other professionals to fully understand project needs and resolve estimation-related concerns.
* Attend project meetings and offer valuable insights on budgeting and cost.
* Develop and implement risk management strategies to ensure reliable cost forecasting.
Requirements:
* 5 years working as an Estimator for large-scale projects and budgets with at least 3 years of experience in a managerial role.
* Prior knowledge and experience with HVAC field installation and construction is highly preferred.
* Must have proven experience working on successful project bids and estimates for multi-million dollar construction.
Preferred:
* Bachelors degree in Construction Management or related field is a plus.
* Working knowledge of estimation for Commercial HVAC projects is preferred.
* Prior experience with Trimble and Autobid software is preferred but not required.
