Job Description

TYPE OF POSITION/EMPLOYMENT CATEGORY:Full-Time Staff

DEPARTMENT: Technology Support Services

SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm

  • Occasional evening or weekend work required: Events on Saturday and/or Sunday. Occasional shift change to cover morning or evenings Monday - Friday.

TRAVEL:Occasional travel required - Tickets may require onsite visit to off-campus locations.

REMOTE WORK ELIGILITY:No

HOURS/WEEK and MONTHS/YEAR:35hours/week and 52 weeks/year

FLSA STATUS:Non-Exempt Hourly

GENERAL PURPOSE

Answers phone calls and provides support over the phone or with remote access tools. Troubleshoots software and hardware failures and identifies network problems when they relate to computers printers or phones. Performs the installation repair and preventative maintenance of I.T. equipment and related systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support end-users with IT-related problems in a responsive and service oriented manner.
  • Assist with the troubleshooting installation implementation and support of hardware and systems.
  • Receipt deployment and maintenance of IT-related equipment.
  • Assist and support events that require information technology equipment: on-campus conferences lectures and/or special presentations.

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Some College (Associate Degree or presently pursuing Bachelors Degree)
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Outlook PowerPoint Word)
  • 1-3 years of work-related experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Jenzabar Software
  • Statistical Software

RESPONSIBILITY FOR PUBLIC CONTACT

  • Daily contact requiring courtesy discretion and sound judgment.

SALARY INFORMATION

When determining the salary offer for a new employee Molloy considers several key characteristics such as job knowledge skills and experience as well as internal and external equity. The hiring hourly rate for this position is $20.00 - $24.50. This hourly rate represents the Universitys good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation at the time of posting.
