At Park Primary School we know that our Teaching Assistants are essential to the learning development and wellbeing of our pupils - and we invest in them accordingly. Over the past year weve enhanced the way we support and develop our TAs offering dedicated weekly staff meetings targeted CPD and access to nationally recognised qualifications.

We have also introduced specialist TA teams with staff developing expertise in key curriculum areas - including Early Years - so that they can make a meaningful contribution to our whole-school priorities. We are seeking to appoint a skilled and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant to work within our Early Years Foundation Setting.

This is an exciting opportunity to support the very beginning of our childrens learning journey in a vibrant well-resourced and nurturing environment.

The successful candidate will:

Have a Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent)

Have experience working with children aged 3-4 years with a strong understanding of early child development

Be confident in supporting childrens language development early reading and number sense

Be skilled in promoting positive relationships emotional regulation and independent learning

Be proactive in supporting routines continuous provision and learning through play

Understand the EYFS framework including the prime and specific areas of learning

Be able to contribute to observations assessments and planning working closely with teachers and families

Be committed to inclusive practice able to support children with a range of developmental needs

The working hours during term time are typically 8:35-15:40 Monday to Friday with a 16:30 finish once a week for after school club/activities and a further 17:00 finish for staff meeting/development. A personalised timetable will be issued annually. You will also work the five inset days across the year for targeted CPD activities.

Visits to the school are warmly welcomed on Monday 16th June at 4pm.
