Were on the lookout for a commercially minded Legal Counsel to join us in a permanent full-time capacity. Based in our Sydney CBD office (with hybrid working) this role offers the chance to work in a dynamic fast-paced environment with a high-performing and collaborative team. Youll partner with our Marketing Innovation and Sponsorship teams to provide legal guidance on campaigns claims packaging new product development trade promotions IP and commercial deals. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys getting close to the business and helping shape strategy.
A day in the life
Advise our brands on advertising new product development trade promotions consumer law and related marketing compliance
Draft and negotiate sponsorship and partnership agreements advising on structure rights and disputes
Support trademark clearance registration and enforcement across our portfolio
Build and evolve Lions marketing law and compliance capability
Contribute to cross-functional projects that drive innovation and brand success.
What youll bring
35 years post-qualification experience
A current Australian practising certificate
Strong experience in advertising consumer law and commercial contracting
A pragmatic and confident approach to partnering with the business
Experience gained in private practice or in-house legal teams
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
A proactive solutions-focused mindset and willingness to learn.
