The Safety Manager develops and implements a comprehensive safety program ensuring OSHA compliance and fostering a culture of safety. Responsibilities include conducting safety training (classroom hands-on and field-based) mentoring employees and supporting project teams with safety planning and hazard analysis.
Key Duties:
Supervise and support health and safety programs.
Conduct monthly safety assessments and field jobsite visits.
Assist with pre-project planning emergency action plans and pre-task plans for high-risk activities.
Provide technical assistance on safety technology and participate in trade groups and safety committees.
Conduct root-cause analyses for incidents and manage workers compensation claims.
Monitor injuries and illnesses maintain training records and develop weekly Toolbox Talks and annual training calendars.
Qualifications:
5 years as a Construction Safety Manager (required); 2 years in heavy civil/infrastructure (preferred).
Bachelors degree in Construction Management (preferred).
OSHA Authorized Outreach Trainer CHST minimum or CSP (preferred).
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Strong organizational communication and technical skills.
Ability to prioritize work independently and maintain confidentiality.

Work Environment:
Office: 10% of the time.
