Title: Immigrants Rights Coordinator
Schedule Type: Full-time (Non-Exempt). Occasional evenings and weekends required.
Location: Based in CAIRs Santa Clara office. CAIR staff are currently working a hybrid schedule with three days in-person and two days remote.
Requirements: Ability to travel throughout the Bay Area (vehicle and drivers license required); authorization to work in the United States.
Reporting Relationships: Immigrants Rights Managing Attorney
Job Term: This is a one-year position with the possibility of renewal based on performance and funding.
About the Role: The Immigrants Rights Coordinator supports CAIR-SFBAs immigration legal services and helps advance immigrant justice across the Bay Area. This role blends direct legal assistance with community outreach to ensure vulnerable immigrants especially from American Muslim communities receive timely support and know their rights.
Key responsibilities include organizing immigration clinics at masajid and community centers conducting legal intakes preparing applications for attorney review and managing grant-related tasks. The role also contributes to advocacy public education and campaign efforts. Ideal candidates are organized community-minded and committed to expanding access to legal services.
Duties & Responsibilities:
All CAIR staff are required to assist in general duties such as answering phones weekly outreach and other office tasks.
