The City of Falls Church Sheriffs Office is recruiting for a full-time Deputy Sheriff with Virginia DCJS Law Enforcement certification. ; This Deputy will perform court security prisoner transportation civil process traffic enforcement and other law enforcement functions including emergency response in a busy and growing small agency and jurisdiction environment.

The City is an independent city (2.2 square miles 15000 population) located six miles from the nations capital situated between the large urban counties of Arlington and Fairfax with its own court clerk system and sheriffs office. ;The City is known for its urban village community structure quality customer and resident service a nationally ranked school system and extensive community activities.

This is a full-time position typically scheduled Monday-Friday 8 AM to 4 PM. ; Required over-time for standard duties special events and other circumstances including numerous specialized details. ;
Salary and Benefits:
The starting salary for qualified Deputy Sheriffs is $68000 to $79000 annually and is subject to increases depending on experience and qualifications.
