We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher to join our team at Seneca Babcock. The ideal candidate will have a strong educational background from a Child Development Associate (CDA) to a bachelors degree in early childhood education or a related field. This position involves creating and implementing age-appropriate lesson plans providing a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment and supervising assistant teachers and aides.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute educational lesson plans and activities in accordance with the schools curriculum and educational standards.
Create a safe and supportive learning environment for young children.
Monitor and assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies as necessary.
Collaborate with other teachers and administrators to ensure comprehensive educational and developmental goals are met.
Communicate regularly with parents regarding their childs progress and development.
Oversee and support assistant teachers and classroom aides in daily activities and responsibilities.
Qualifications:
Minimum of a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential; bachelors degree in early childhood education or related field preferred.
Previous experience working with young children in a preschool or childcare setting.
Strong knowledge of early childhood development theories and practices.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Patience creativity and a passion for working with young children.
