Description

HMDA Specialist

Willamette Valley Bank is seeking a detail-oriented and highly knowledgeable HMDA Compliance Specialist to support regulatory data integrity and reporting. This role is critical in ensuring the Bank meets all federal Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) requirements and supports post-closing operations as needed.

Embedded within the mortgage operations team this specialist will be responsible for reviewing validating and maintaining the accuracy of HMDA-reportable data collaborating with internal departments and supporting audit readiness.

Some of the Key Responsibilities Include

  • Collect review and validate HMDA-reportable data in accordance with Regulation C and internal guidelines
  • Perform data quality control checks to ensure accuracy consistency and completeness
  • Identify and resolve data discrepancies by collaborating with internal teams across mortgage processing underwriting and closing
  • Stay informed of regulatory changes and update internal documentation and procedures accordingly
  • Assist with internal and external audits and examinations related to HMDA data
  • Support post-closing processes including follow-up on documentation and coordination with investors when needed
  • Monitor daily reports to ensure timely review and submission of HMDA data
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Associates or bachelors degree in finance Business Administration or a related field preferred
  • 3 to 5 years of direct experience with HMDA compliance and data reporting
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in post-closing or mortgage operations preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Regulation C and related compliance requirements
  • Familiarity with mortgage documentation and loan origination systems (e.g. Encompass)
  • Exceptional attention to detail data accuracy and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
