Job Description

Aluminum Heat Treat Technician/Operator

SUMMARY

Heat Treat Technicians are responsible for performing heat treatment of metal to standards using large automated ovens.

RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Provide their internal customers with correct products and services on-time.
    • Create communicate and accomplish daily department schedules.
    • Keep WOs and associated documentation with each part throughout the manufacturing process and providing documentation to their internal customer.
    • Retain part traceability throughout the manufacturing process.
    • Keep Cetec (ERP system) order location data current and correct.
    • Full and complete understanding of company operating Procedures or Work Instructions.
    • Performs heat treating of metal according to technical specification work order or repair manual.
    • Part flattening and/or forming may be required after Heat Treating process.
    • Ensure work areas are clean and free from Foreign Object Debris.
    • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

    • Experience in the heat treating of aluminum (or similar metals)

Physical Demands / ADA Compliance

The employee may be required to stand for a full shift while wearing PPE. Must be able to lift 50lbs. Correctable vision to 20/20 with full depth perception. Ability to pass DOT Drug Testing requirements (49 CFR Part 40). Regularly required to push pull bend and apply pressure using hand tools and operate machinery.


Communication Skills:

Must speak read and write English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.


Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm. Monday through Friday. Onsite only PAY: $20-21 an hour dependent upon experience

Background and Drug test required.
