About the role
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and committed teachers to fulfil the full-time role of HSIE KLA Coordinator in our Secondary School. This role will commence on 21 July 2025.
The position of Key Learning Area Co-ordinator (KLA) is a position of Special Responsibility in the Schools Management Structure. The KLA Coordinator is a teacher and administrator who leads by professional and Biblical example in and out of the classroom; who encourages the staff and students throughout the School as well as those in their direct care to achieve high standards in the context of learning Christian service and relationships. KLA Coordinators are expected to be excellent teachers who are growing in their own practice in order that they may fulfil the role of instructional leader in their Faculty.
As a member of our Secondary School team spanning Year 7 to Year 12the KLA Coordinator collaborates closely with the Wellbeing Coordinators and teaching team. Together they are dedicated to creating and sustaining an enriching learning environment marked by excellence in learning assessment evaluation reporting fostering positive interpersonal relationships prioritising child safety and ensuring the wellbeing and discipline of our students. In this capacity the KLA Coordinator reports to the Head of Secondary School with accountability extending to all aspects of teaching and curriculum development.
