It is expected that the candidate will practice at a regional affiliated site; all URMC sites provide multi-disciplinary care with medical and radiation oncology like the central location. No matter the location the faculty member will be supported by an Advanced Practice Provider and nursing.
Desirable candidates will possess a strong commitment to patient care resident and medical student education and quality improvement. It is expected that candidates will have an interest in developing a broad practice and a regional quality improvement program in Breast Surgery to assure the highest quality is attained in the region just like it is centrally. The Breast Surgery/Surgical Oncology faculty have a unique opportunity to take advantage of both the Department of Surgery which has outstanding research infrastructure for both basic/translation and outcomes research and Wilmot Cancer Institute which provides collaboration and regular statistical support.
