Are you a great communicator with a passion for helping people Were looking for a Call Center Specialist to join our team full-time!


The Call Specialist-MHRT-CSP answers all phone calls texts and chats for the AMHC Call Center which is in operation 24/7 365 days a year. The Call Center receives all requests coming in for mobile crisis teams and outpatient offices for scheduling intake appointments in Aroostook Hancock and Washington Counties. Call Specialists are the first point of contact for many individuals requesting information and services; therefore they must be engaging welcoming and patient while interfacing with individuals through a variety of communication methods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer engage assess and direct all calls texts and chat requests received through the AMHC Call Center.
  • Assess the treatment and level of care needs for individuals reaching out to the Call Center by triaging referring and scheduling with necessary providers and supports.
  • Complete risk assessments via call text and chat as needed to reduce suicide and non-suicidal self-injury risk.
  • Manage referrals for the Mobile Crisis team and dispatch Crisis Service Providers.
  • Support individuals waiting for services via phone text and chat options to keep them engaged and connected.
  • Track all crisis interventions that are occurring within the three-county catchment area for Mobile Crisis Services.
  • Educate staff and the community (clients family members and providers) about all AMHC services resources and options available and how to access them.
  • Assist in the adherence to crisis plans for individuals using crisis services.
Requirements

  • This position requires an Associates Degree in a Human Services or Education-related field.
  • The MHRT-Crisis Services Provider (CSP) certification is provided upon hire and must be completed within the first 6 months of employment.
