JOB TITLE:
Box Office Attendant
DEPARTMENT INFORMATION:
The Box Office in the Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts is the first contact point for students faculty staff and patrons who have questions about performing artsevents. The Box Office provides ticketing services and event information for all Buchanan Center Special Events Music and Theatre & Dance performances as well as other University/outside entities.
- Job location: Buchanan Center for Performing Arts
- Pay rate or range: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour
JOB PURPOSE:
Box Office event attendants process ticket sales in person over the phone and online for all Buchanan Center performances.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Answering phone calls for ticket purchases and event information
- Operate under PCI compliance rules and procedures for credit card transactions
- Counting back change under Box Office cash handling procedures
- Processing ticket orders within the Tix ticketing software
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior customer service experience
- Prior cash handling experience
