Job Description

THE POSITION

Are you someone who takes initiative in custodial management ensuring that cleanliness plays a vital role in fostering a supportive atmosphere for patient care The Department of Human Services at Wernersville State Hospital is looking for a Custodial Work Supervisor to be instrumental in maintaining a clean safe and sanitary environment for both patients and staff. In this position you will not only oversee operations but also provide essential guidance training and support to custodial staff in their daily responsibilities. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position you will oversee employees by directing inspecting and managing work assignments to ensure a safe clean odor-free and comfortable environment for patients staff and visitors. You will collaborate with and supervise assigned personnel to uphold a healthy environment by guiding them through established policies procedures training and direct observation. Additionally you will monitor attendance and sick leave by maintaining daily records providing counseling when necessary and processing appropriate leave for absent employees. You will also supervise workers in the laundry department and serve as a Patient Abuse Investigator at Wernersville State Hospital where you are expected to participate in all required training and conduct investigations in a professional and timely manner as assigned.
