Job Overview
We are seeking a Facilities Manager for our Mumbai location to join our esteemed Podar Education Network. This is a full-time mid-level position requiring 4 to 6 years of experience. The Facilities Manager will ensure the efficient operation and management of school facilities across our network of institutions. This role is essential to maintaining high standards in education delivery through effective facility management.
Qualifications and Skills
- Vendor Management (Mandatory skill): Proven experience in managing and negotiating with vendors to ensure the best services and cost-effectiveness for the organization.
- Health and Safety Compliance (Mandatory skill): Strong understanding and experience in implementing health and safety measures to ensure a safe educational environment.
- Facility Management (Mandatory skill): Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale facilities within a structured environment ensuring all aspects are functional and maintained.
- Maintenance Scheduling: Capability to plan and oversee regular maintenance activities to prevent disruptions in facility operations.
- Building Operations: Solid understanding of building operations and systems to effectively manage resources and ensure proper function.
- Project Management: Experience in coordinating and managing facility-related projects from conception through to completion.
- Budgeting: Proficiency in planning and managing budgets to maximize resources while minimizing costs.
- Problem-Solving: Exceptional skills in identifying issues proactively and implementing effective solutions to prevent recurrence.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of our educational facilities ensuring all systems are operational and safe.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and repair costs.
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors to ensure cost-effective and timely services.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across all facilities.
- Manage facility-related projects ensuring alignment with organizational goals and budget constraints.
- Prepare and manage facility budgets ensuring efficient allocation and tracking of expenses.
- Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and project execution.
- Continuously assess and improve facility processes to enhance efficiency and service quality.
