40% Web Production and Digital Marketing- Create/maintain and enhance user flow for patrons browsing for performances and information on all websites.
- Update and maintain the venue website in accordance with KU policy and ADA compliance.
- Provide marketing content and coding for the ticketing website including CSS styling; help menu articles; online buy-flow labels menus and paths; and upsells and add-ons throughout the online ticket and benefit buy-flow.
- Provide graphics and templates for email and social-media campaigns as requested by the Marketing Communications Coordinator.
- Create/design/coordinate slide shows for presentations pre-performance displays lobby TVs and website slides.
- Continually test all sites for effective viewing and downloading for all platforms and devices.
- Maintain and update all aspects of websites as technology advances.
30% Print Production
Responsible for either managing or creating:- Multiple print projects from concept to final output.
- Production timelines and schedules for all graphics projects.
- All projects through design production and mailing/delivery.
- Print specifications and solicit bids for specified jobs as requested.
- Evaluate and provide input on selection of and oversee appropriate sign and print vendors foreach project.
- Securing imagery from artists/management for promotional publications as requested.
- Ensure that all Lied Center publications comply with printing and mailing requirements.
20% Video Production- Create/design/edit/produce video projects including television commercials radio spots Beyond the Stage artists residence and master-class video documentation season announcement videos and others as requested.
- Maintain archive of video assets.
- Provide multiple formats of video for all needs across multiple platforms and for multiple users.
10% Supervision and Other Duties- Supervise a student graphic designer and a student webmaster including recruiting hiring training and evaluating their work.
- Manage the workflow of the marketing graphics department assigning and completing jobs monitoring deadlines and applying quality standards for a consistent look for all media in all projects and all departments.
- Oversee the design and input of all Lied Series information on the electronic sign.
- Manage Lied Centers photography archives.
- Other duties as assigned.

Position OverviewThe Lied Centers graphic designer is in charge of coordinating and carrying out the creation and production for print and digital promotional and other materials for the Lied Center of Kansas including overall branding for the organization Friends of the Lied and engagement/education materials as well as performance-related marketing.
This position is responsible for the creation or management of graphic design for:
- Marketing projects which includes all promotional and branding materials for Lied Series event advertising Friends of the Lied engagement/education and some rental events.
- Design and maintenance for both the Lied Center main website and online styling and CMS for the ticketing website.
- Video commercial and short documentary production.
- Creating and posting information to the electronic sign.
- Print materials such as a brochure for direct-mail event calendar sheet print advertising program shell and inserts as well as posters and flyers.
- Creation of digital materials such as images for email and social-media campaigns invitations website pages e-mail signatures slide shows videos signage and point-of-purchase displays for Lied Series performances and the Friends of the Lied for external audiences and the KU campus.
- Maintaining a library of photography and images for past performances events and design files.
- Providing Search Engine Optimization (SEO) tracking and tag management for digital marketing in advertising and webcasting.
