This position can be based in any state where we have an office and offers the option of a hybrid or fully remote work arrangement.
The Position
We are seeking a Compensation Analyst to support and enhance the firms attorney legal service and business professional compensation programs. This position plays a critical part in ensuring the firms compensation practices are competitive equitable and aligned with both market benchmarks and firm goals. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical capabilities deep knowledge of compensation trends and a collaborative mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research and benchmarking to ensure competitive salary structures.
- Analyze compensation trends to provide data-driven recommendations to leadership.
- Collaborate with HR and management to ensure fair consistent and equitable compensation practices.
- Participate in the development of salary structures for our legal and business professionals.
- Evaluate job descriptions to determine appropriate salary grades and classifications.
- Support the annual compensation review and performance management cycles.
- Generate and analyze compensation reports to guide firm-wide decision-making.
- Participate in compensation surveys and interpret results to align pay strategies with market trends.
- Support HR with job offers promotions and internal salary adjustments.
- Provide guidance on compensation policies and procedures to manager and employees.
Qualifications
- 4-7 years of experience in compensation HR analyst or related roles preferably within a law firm..
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in Excel and HRIS systems.
- Knowledge of market pricing job evaluation methodologies and salary structure development.
- Familiarity with compensation laws regulations and compliance standards.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with attorney compensation practices such as lockstep pay scales and attorney bonus structures preferred.
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation preferred.
- Experience with compensation software.
A variety of factors are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to experience education licensure and/or certifications geographic location market demands other business and organizational needs and other factors permitted by law. Final salary wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances. This position is considered full-time and therefore qualifies for benefits including 401(k) retirement savings plan medical dental vision disability and life insurance. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
Salary Range:
$100000 - $125000 USD
