Job Summary:
Zitron Australia is seeking a Mechanical Engineer. The role involves working on different tasks such supporting project teams with the design fabrication with the aim to optimize the site works including commissioning. This is a permanent full-time position with day shifts from Monday to Friday. The role also includes working on large-scale Mining and Tunnelling Projects in Australia and abroad.
Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Studying the project documentation and data sheets to determine the workshop and site workers need to successfully carry out the project in time.
- Review mechanical drafting and BOMs of the mechanical equipment to ensure is accurate and reflecting the project specifications.
- Responsible for implanting maintaining and coordinating plans and procedures for installation and maintenance of ventilation systems on Projects.
- Support project managers with technical and engineering aspects of specific tasks on underground ventilation projects.
Developing field support procedures as necessary.
Motivating and driving the improvement of engineering processes and procedures
- Accurately develop and manage program schedules involving site works and commissioning.
- Support site service team on engineering aspects of mechanical systems for ventilation and machines (Fans Dampers and Attenuators).
- Collaborate with the quality department to ensure site equipment and tools are well maintained.
- Conduct internal audits of systems procedures and workmanship ensuring continual review.
- Proven experience working in the construction or mining industry as a field technical worker.
- Previous experience communicating effectively with International Suppliers for instrumentation and equipment.
- Come from a similar manufacturing ventilation or equipment environment.
- Knowledge and experience with condition monitoring for rotatory machines.
- Technical background ideally having an Engineering degree.
