Position Overview
As a Behavior Technician you ll play an important role in supporting children with autism and other developmental challenges by delivering 1:1 ABA therapy in home-based settings. You ll promote skill-building independence and positive behaviors using personalized evidence-informed strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver hands-on support during daily routines play activities and community outings
- Support the development of life skills and encourage independence in everyday tasks
- Implement customized behavior intervention plans created by a BCBA and provide regular updates
- Log session data accurately and maintain up-to-date records of client progress
- Maintain consistent communication with your supervising BCBA and participate in required trainings and supervision
- Protect client confidentiality and safety in line with HIPAA guidelines
- Provide light household assistance or transport support as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)
- Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities (preferred)
- Valid drivers license active car insurance and dependable transportation
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs stay physically active during sessions (e.g. kneeling sitting on the floor) and respond quickly as needed
- Comfortable commuting up to 30 minutes to client locations
- Eager to earn your Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential within 90 days training provided
- Able to pass a background check
