Object Technology Solutions Inc (OTSI) has an immediate opening for a System Manager
Location: Boise ID
Required
- Installs maintains and upgrades internal Linux computer hardware and software systems used for designing and developing company products. Controls user access.
- Proposes and implements systems enhancements that will improve the reliability and performance of the system.
- Monitors usage and performance. Trains personnel on system usage.
- 3-5 years of experience as Linus System Administrator is required
- Experience in Data Center is required
- Provide best in class computer support for engineering design teams
- Provide technical direction and escalation for technologies maintained within the Linux compute space
- Drive innovation and automation of computer solutions both internally and for our customers
- Provisioning of systems both physical and virtual.
- Drive configuration management through puppet
- Proficient in scripting languages and tools to automate tasks system builds and change management (Puppet Python shell etc.)
- Monitor overall health of the Unix/Linux environment with an emphasis on proactive discovery of potential issues
- Continually work to improve Linux compute environment through automation.
- Propose and implement system enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of systems and services.
