Job Description
Turner Industries Group is looking for an experienced Industrial Planner for an industrial maintenance site in Decatur AL.
- 40 Hours; Overtime as directed by client and our site manager
- Must be able to pass a pre employment drug and alcohol test
- Must have experience with SAP
- Employee will be responsible for developing detailed work packages
- Employee is required to have an experienced planning background
- Employee requirements include excellent safety performance attendance and knowledge of craft
Per diem and relocation are not available for this position.
General Job Description:
Prepares complete estimates for assigned project(s) and determines project plans and specifications.
Functional Requirements:
Reviews and incorporates historical data from purchase orders subcontracts productivity analysis reports etc. into unit and man-hour figures; estimates worker-hours and materials required to complete the job; reviews specifications drawings etc. to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate; prepares estimates by calculating complete takeoff of scope of work; maintains files of working documents and back-up for estimate figures; follows contracts as assigned -may include estimating extra work items change orders credits procuring material etc.; performs additional assignments as required.
Qualification Standards:
Minimum four (4) years to five (5) years of field experience and/or education in construction technology
Must possess excellent communication interpersonal organizational and problem solving skills

Physical Involvement:
Employee may be required to do the following: reaching in all directions handling and manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movement of eyes hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment; lifting from ground level waist level and/or overhead; carrying objects tools etc.; standing; sitting; walking; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction; following set procedures and standards; applying basic mathematical skills; planning work; comparing and understanding differences in the size shape and form of lines figures and objects; picturing and evaluating solid objects from drawings or diagrams using standards that can be measured or checked; following oral and/or written directions plans and blueprints; reading; writing; ability to recognize and report safety hazards. Location: industrial construction site and/or office environment
Mobility Barriers to Access Job Site: uneven ground level; obstructed pathways; work performed at low and/or high elevations; work performed in confined areas
Climatic/Environmental Conditions at Job Site: indoor/ outdoor climate; may be exposed to extreme hot or cold weather excessive humidity rain etc.; various noise levels caused by tools machinery equipment etc.; potential exposure to chemical substances
