Senior Software Engineer, Application Security

About the team:

The HubSpot Infrastructure Security team is responsible for security privacy and compliance for HubSpots Cloud-based Infrastructure. Broadly our mission is to provide world-class infrastructure as a service that empowers the product team to build operate and scale HubSpots products in a secure way. We solve technical and security challenges in a way that keeps HubSpot fast and lean making the best and easiest solution also the most secure one.

We are seeking an Application Security Engineer with experience in implementing and troubleshooting security tools to protect our development infrastructure. This role focuses on evaluating deploying and maintaining security technologies that safeguard our codebase and platform. The ideal candidate will have experience in application security hands-on tool deployment and troubleshooting issues across development environments and security automation systems.

What Were Looking For:

Were looking for software engineers who are excited by the challenges that come from working at scale and are passionate about improving the reliability and uptime of the product they own. We favor forward-thinking engineers who can identify and remediate problems before they happen and understand how to build platforms that support security and privacy for our customers and are intuitive to use highly performant and extremely reliable.

• Experience working with at least one programming language (Java C# Python etc)
• Knowledge of public cloud infrastructure (AWS GCP Azure)
• Basic understanding of secure development practices public cloud network or host security
• Familiarity with common attack vectors
• Fascinated by the complex issues that arise as a result of operating large-scale systems
• Far happier writing software to automate solutions to problems instead of manually pushing buttons
• And most importantly excited to learn and grow
