Job Description

Payroll Coordinator
Summary: As a member of the Corporate Human Resources team the HR Payroll Coordinator will perform activities required for the preparation and processing of multi-site and multi-state payrolls (as defined below under Key Responsibilities). Developing partnerships with department managers and supervisors as well as with our off-site Human Resources Managers is essential in order to ensure accuracy and maintain the consistency of established processes. While the primary function is HRIS administration there will be many additional activities both directly and indirectly related to the payroll cycle. This is a fast-paced position requiring someone with a high energy level outstanding written and verbal communication skills an independent thinker assertive decision-making skills.
Essential Responsibilities include the following. Other duties and special projects may be assigned.
  • Point person and primary contact for all employees relating to time and attendance and HRIS maintaining positive employee relations through effective communication and problem resolution
  • Process verifications of employment requests benefits and taxes in the payroll system consistent with federal and state laws and regulation
  • Manages permissions access personalization and similar system operations and settings for HRIS users
  • Programs custom functions and documentation such as automated queries filters macros and reports.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely processing of new hires promotions leaves of absence changes in job classifications and terminations
  • Maintain employee records for accuracy and completion of ADP On-Boarding SS number verification I-9 verification using E-Verify in ADP keeping all records up to date and resetting passwords providing first level support when needed
  • Maintain and update all employee files ensuring accuracy and that all required documents are uploaded on employees record
  • Audit new hires information to completion ensuring all policies have been electronically signed in ADP module
  • Process 401K loans and changes on a weekly basis
  • Other duties and administrative responsibilities as required by Human Resources management both payroll and non-payroll related always maintaining the rules of confidentiality

Required Qualifications
  • 1-2 years ADP WFN module payroll processing and ADP E-Time
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong MS Office skills including Excel and Word at intermediate or higher levels
  • Outstanding organizational and recordkeeping abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly motivated acts with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
