The Admissions and Student Support Manager works closely with the Programs Operations Manager and the EDA Department Chair to oversee the admissions student support and retention of supported programs. The primary focus of this role is to support students and enhance their academic experience within the programs of the Department of Educational Administration. Responsibilities include engaging directly with students to provide program guidance managing inquiries through the departments website hosting potential student seminars registration guidance advising sessions and assisting in the preparation of departmental materials. The specialist will ensure students receive the support they need throughout their educational journey from admissions to graduation.
Bachelors degree in a related field (e.g. Education Administration).
2 years of experience in an administrative or support role preferably in an academic setting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proactive approach to problem-solving.
While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:
Masters degree in student services educational leadership or closely related field.
Experience in a higher education environment particularly in online program administration.
Familiarity with educational technology and software (e.g. Salesforce Lucid Chart).
Understanding of project management principles.
Ability to promote inclusive excellence in the workplace.
