About the Position: To provide organizational administrative and programmatic support to the academic and production activities of the School of Dance. |
Responsibilities: - Manage the School of Dance front office by greeting and assisting visitors monitoring and responding to communication and directing prospective and current students to appropriate resources;
- Receive and reply to general phone and email inquiries and visitor requests forwarding communication to appropriate individuals and/or resources;
- Manage deliveries and mail (to include receiving incoming/outgoing mail packages etc.);
- Liaise with facilities personnel and property management to initiate maintenance and related requests including key signage and other service requests;
- Monitor office supply inventory and initiate orders as required;
- Assist with records management and provide access to library resources;
- Provide AV assistance for School of Dance conference rooms;
- Serve as back-stop to the events staff by providing support for events and room reservations;
- Support the Events Manager with large in-person events at the Fairfax campus; and
- Other administrative support duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications: - Superior communication skills both spoken and written;
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to respond to tasks with a sense of urgency and to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively;
- Excellent organizational skills detail-oriented and accuracy driven;
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively follow direction and take initiative;
- Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds;
- Ability to perform duties with a high level of professionalism flexibility integrity diplomacy and tact;
- Proficiency in MS Office and willingness to learn new programs as needed; and
- Ability to lift 25 pounds.
