Position Summary:
In Knox Solutions Innovation team we are looking for a passionate Research Engineer Intern to research innovative ideas design end-to-end data pipelines and create ML solutions for Samsungs array of B2B products. You will research and develop innovative ML strategies for challenging problems that will affect Samsung B2B products.
In this position you will join a collaborative team of world-class developers/research engineers and have a chance to integrate your innovative solution into our Security & Intelligence services in Production.
Position Responsibilities:
- Create quick prototypes and proof-of-concepts
- Explore cutting-edge technologies for our products
- Design develop and productize AI/ML based solutions for Samsung services
- Design develop and productize Machine Learning algorithms from Samsung Research teams or Research Papers
- Design experiments perform evaluations and apply enhancements to our products
- Review work with the engineering team weekly and able to present your solution to SRA by the end of your internship
Required Skills:
- D. or M.S. students in Computer Science Electrical & Computer Engineering or relevant fields
- Familiar with AI/ML latest framework such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
- Hands-on experience in Knowledge Graph and various tabular DL approaches (such as MLP Transformer GCN GAT Autoencoder PFN NODE etc.) on heterogeneous longitudinal data for anomaly detection classification and regression tasks
- Strong hands-on experience in conducting architectural changes on given AI/DL solutions for research/work purposes. For example implementing cross-table treatments such as feature tokenization and attention layer tailoring to fuse numerical and categorical structured tabular data into a dense common representation
- High-quality coding in Python
- Familiar with ML model deployment and inferencing in Android OS
- Familiar with Data Structures Algorithms and Linux OS concepts
- Ability to solve problems
- Open communicator with excellent visual verbal and written communication skills
- Passionate about researching innovative solutions and creating enterprise products for web and mobile
Preferred Skills:
- First- or co-authored publications at leading workshops or conferences such as NeurIPS ICML ICLR AAAI KDD IJCAI CVPR ICCV ACL NAACL ICASSP or similar. If yes please provide the paper DOI link.
- Familiar with AI retrieval solutions (such as Graph mining RAG etc.).
- Familiar with root cause analysis using causal inference.
- Familiar with synthetic data generation.
Hourly Pay Rate Range
$44 - $63 USD
