The Upper Darby School District is seeking applicants for a full-time Special Education Teacher (Learning Support/Intake Coordinator) position at Upper Darby High School.
Qualifications:
- PA Instructional Certificate (Special Education PK-12)
- Out-of-state educators and anyone seeking an emergency certificate should review the guidelines set by the PA Department of Education. Pennsylvania Certification information is available at: required in appropriate major study
- Knowledge and understanding of IDEA and Chapter 14 requirements
- Ability to use instructional materials and equipment

- Ability to effectively communicate with instruct and work with students staff and parents/guardians
- Job Goal:
To participate as a member of the instructional staff in ensuring a seamless transition and immediate continuity of special education services for exceptional students who enroll with Upper Darby High School from other educational settings by efficiently reviewing amending and adopting incoming special education documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations. The Learning Support Intake Coordinator collaborates with building and central administration to develop and implement Free and Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) thereby supporting successful transition into Upper Darby High Schools academic and special education programs.
