Digital Consultants is seeking a Helpdesk Specialist to join our team! As the Helpdesk Specialist you will address service request/problem incidents and initiate follow-up to ensure timely disposition and completion of work. You will track all action items and referrals through resolution and provide an outstanding customer service experience in a variety of circumstances across all organizational levels.


Duties to include:

  • Responds to and diagnoses problems through discussion with users.
  • Ensures a timely process through which problems are controlled. This includes problem recognition research isolation resolution and follow-up steps.
  • Supervises operation of help desk and serves as the focal point for customer concerns.
  • Provides support to end-users on a variety of issues.
  • Identifies researches and resolves technical problems.
  • Responds to telephone calls email and personnel requests for technical support.
  • Documents tracks and monitors the problem to ensure a timely resolution.
  • Provides second-tier support to end-users for either PC server or mainframe applications or hardware.
  • Interacts with network services software systems engineering and/or applications development to restore service and/or identify and correct core problems.
  • Simulates or recreates user problems to resolve operating difficulties.
  • Recommends systems modifications to reduce user problems.
Requirements
  • Must be able to pass a Federal Background check (NACI).
  • Minimum 5 years of intensive and progressive experience in the applicable IT specialty field.
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university with a curriculum or major field of study which is closely related to the work to be automated and/or in a computer science information system a physical science engineering or a mathematics-intensive discipline.
  • Masters Degree (in subjects described above) and 2 years of relevant experience.
  • No degree and 7 years of directly applicable experience.

Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM Monday - Friday
