Adjunct Faculty Position Accounting Courses

NHTI Concords Community College
Position Type: Part-time adjunct
Semester: Fall 2025 and Spring 2026
Compensation: $800 - $950 per credit based on adjunct faculty rank (determined by education and experience)

Position Overview:
NHTI is seeking a qualified adjunct faculty member to teach Accounting courses. These college-level courses provide students with essential knowledge in accounting procedures principles and practices financial reporting managerial accounting taxes cost accounting etc. focusing on practical applications and real-world relevance.

  • Lecture Hours: 3
  • Lab/Practicum Hours: 0
  • Schedule: varies in-person hybrid and online
  • Location: NHTI Campus Concord NH

Program Description:
The NHTI Accounting program offers an associate degree advanced certificate and basic certificate to prepare students for entry-level positions in accounting and business. Accounting is a critical component of every type and size of business and industry including government healthcare education not-for-profit organizations and the military. Accounting employees provide much of the information used by these organizations to make critical financial decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach the assigned course using provided curriculum and instructional materials aligned with program standards.
  • Facilitate class discussions assignments and assessments to foster student engagement and learning.
  • Provide regular feedback and maintain accurate records of student progress.
  • Maintain professional currency in the field and comply with college policies and standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: A Masters degree in the subject/content area of accounting or a subject/content area closely related to the teaching assignment or possession of a Masters degree in Education with twelve (12) graduate credits in the subject/content area closely related to the teaching assignment and a Bachelors degree in the subject/content area or closely related field to the teaching assignment combined with a minimum of two years of related teaching and/or professional work experience is required. Workshops seminars licenses certifications and other forms of recognized professional achievements in the subject/content area may also be considered in reaching the subject/content area requirement.
  • Experience: Industry experience prior teaching experience and familiarity with Canvas (or a similar Learning Management System) is preferred.
  • Residency: Must reside in NH VT ME MA RI or CT.
