Job Description

This position will achieve the overall sales goals of North Carolina by providing a presence for Johnson & Johnson and JJPF in the North Carolina property and casualty insurance market. Tasked with creating and maintaining business relationships with the independent agents in North Carolina this person will identify opportunities and capture market share while spearheading the growth of business in the North Carolina market.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Agency Management for the state of North Carolina includes all appointments and cancellation recommendations to market company products and services to independent agents in territory
    • Insurance products both Personal and Commercial Lines
    • Premium Financing products (Johnson & Johnson Preferred Financing JJPF)
  • Calling on prospects and building new & profitable business relationships
  • Provide exceptional customer service assistance to our agents
  • Developing the assigned territory
  • Achieve objectives for production and profitability on assigned accounts including objectives related to written premium retention and service.
  • Develop and communicate products for expansion to the North Carolina Agency force
  • Maintain and develop new relationships and enhance presence of J&J within the insurance association community
  • Attendance at all state and local industry conferences
  • Weekly Reporting of sales calls and activities planned and completed
  • Must have and maintain valid drivers license and be eligible for company auto insurance.

Any other duties as assigned

Education and Work Experience:

  • A bachelors degree is preferred or any combination of education and experience to be successful in the position
  • Active North Carolina Insurance license preferred
  • Brokerage representative experience a plus.

Ability to travel for long periods of time and make all travel arrangements

A thorough understanding of the Property & Casualty insurance market

Typical Physical Demands:

Requires the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time occasional stooping and reaching; May require lifting-up to 25 pounds; requires normal range of vision and hearing with or without accommodations.
