Custodian

GENERAL DUTIES

• Daily cleaning and sanitizing of all bathroom facilities including toilets and sinks.
• Ensuring break areas common spaces and restrooms are ready for the next day including taking out the trash tidying rearranging furniture and wiping surfaces as needed.
• Maintain all safety standards
• Sweeping and mopping of floors.
• General outdoor services such as sweeping entry areas disposing trash and cleaning glass doors at entrances.
• Gather and disposes of trash into trash receptacles.
• Performs inventory counts of cleaning supplies consumable goods
• Use cleaning supplies and equipment to keep interior of plant floors clean.
• Initiate maintenance service request to supervisor.
• Performs other duties assigned by supervisors.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year janitorial experience or related experience and/or training.
• Having a team-orientated state of mind
• Multitasking ability
• Be able to understand basic directions in English (required)
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Able to lift objects up to 50 pounds.
• Pre-employment drug screen and background check are required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to stand walk and lift for up to 8 hours daily.
• Vision abilities requires close distance color peripheral and depth
• Required to lift push pull and/or carry up to 50 lbs. continually.
• May be required to stoop bend kneel crouch or crawl.
• Moderately loud noise levels in plant environment.
• Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
