Job Summary
Manages multiple small and medium technology related initiatives projects and programs across multiple departments from initiation to implementation. Develops and maintains project plans schedules status reports project risks and other project-related artifacts utilizing organizational best practices.
Essential Functions
the definition of service levels and customer requirements by interacting
with existing or potential stakeholders to determine their organizational needs and to
develop requirements documentation and cost benefit analyses.
planning and/or implementation of projects by working with leadership and
seniors project team to develop realistic projects goals.
regular project and programs status reviews with project sponsors and
stakeholders to provide project accomplishments issues and schedule.
best practices in areas such as Change Management Risk Management
Scope Management Communications Escalation Project Resource Management
and Cost Management are being used in managing projects
with departments throughout DCPS to resolve escalated project issues and
implement changes
with Functional Management to monitor and maintain project teams visibility on
day-to-day activities to ensure current resources capacity
focus areas for ongoing process and performance improvements through the
appropriate use of lessons learned processes.
the sharing of project Management techniques and guidance across the
organization.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university preferred or equivalent work experience.
Experience: Three (3) years of project management experience. Experience in government entity or public school preferred.
Certifications & Licenses: Relevant project management certification preferred.
