Job Description
Join Amazons Worldwide Operations Security (WWOS) Strategy team as a Senior Strategy Risk Manager responsible for developing and implementing security through critical documentation frameworks. In this role you will partner with senior leadership to develop and refine strategic communications operational plans and executive-ready materials that support WWOSs mission to prevent detect and investigate security-related disruptions across Amazons expanding business lines. You will play a crucial role in documenting and communicating WWOSs OP225 strategic initiatives including our savings plan through End-to-End Secure Network Cost to Serve optimization and Operational Resilience programs.
Key job responsibilities
Own and manage the end-to-end development of high-impact strategic documents including Operational Plans Strategic Planning Sessions (SPS) white papers and executive communications
Partner with WWOS senior leadership to translate complex security initiatives and data into clear compelling narratives that drive action and alignment
Develop and maintain documentation standards templates and best practices for the organization
Lead the review and editing PR process for critical deliverables ensuring consistency accuracy and strategic alignment
Create and manage change management documentation to support major initiatives and organizational transformations
Transform complex data and metrics into clear actionable insights for various stakeholder audiences
Handle confidential and sensitive information with the utmost discretion
Collaborate with cross-functional teams globally to gather input and ensure comprehensive coverage of WWOSs strategic priorities
Manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
Drive continuous improvement in documentation processes and tools
Adapt communication strategies based on emerging security threats and business needs
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level
- Bachelors degree or equivalent
- Experience in program management or risk management
- Experience in effectively communicating complex projects into impactful C-suite level documents
- Demonstrated experience managing complex multi-stakeholder projects
- Strong track record of developing and implementing strategic initiatives
- Proven ability to navigate ambiguous situations and create structure
- Experience working in global matrix organizations
- Experience in data interpretation and visualization
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Native or bilingual proficiency in English
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification
- Masters degree or equivalent
- Advanced degree in relevant field
- Experience with change management communications
- Experience with technical writing or documentation systems
- Familiarity with AI machine learning and emerging technologies
- Background in supply chain security or operations
- Experience with risk management frameworks and methodologies
- Additional language proficiency
